A time for healing...

“When we move beyond our fear – we begin to feel free.”

Rehabilitation Services
We offer a dedicated Rehabilitation Room and a comprehensive Medicare-approved program. A Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist deliver individualized care based on assessment and goals.

Pastoral Care
Our ministry of Pastoral Care supports the spirituality and faith traditions of all who are part of the Welsh Home community. Pastoral Care focuses on the healing effect of spiritual nurturing, and the important role it has in the health of our residents. An on-staff Pastoral Minister leads individuals or groups who gather in faith and prayer, and is a supportive, listening presence to all – residents, families and staff. Residents are also welcome to participate in weekly Worship and Communion Services each Sunday.

Restorative Services
The goal of Restorative Services is to help all residents in a daily routine of exercise that will develop and/or maintain their present skill level. Care may focus on feeding, dressing, walking, bathing and grooming. A Restorative Aide, working with individuals and in small groups, offers adaptive equipment to help accomplish personal goals.

Activities Department
A certified Activity Director holds special and annual events that bring residents, community members and families together. From bingo and games to movies and sing-a-longs, these activities provide daily enjoyment. Residents are also involved in our bell choir and exercise classes. A Welsh Home bus safely transports residents to the zoo, picnics and other outings.

Additional Services
Additional services include Podiatry, Pharmacy Services, Mobile Optometry, Mobile Dentistry, Psychological Services, Social Services, Beauty and Barber Services.

A time for families...

“Life is no straight and easy corridor along which we travel free and unhampered, but a maze of passages, through which we seek our way.”

This brochure is titled “Passages,” because it contemplates some of the unique challenges and perspectives facing older adults in the later seasons of life. Often, families travel along that same journey. At the Welsh Home we involve families in the care, activity, decisions, and life of their loved ones. We are respected in our community because we are resident-centered and dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all who live with us.

If you are interested in learning more about life at the Welsh Home, please call 440-331-0420. Our Administrator or Admissions Coordinator will be happy to provide details and answer all your questions. All inquiries and information will be kept strictly confidential. The Welsh Home is open to people of every race, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin.
